The last day of SIMUN was filled with controversies and excitement. There was the issue of a formation of statehood of Palestine, and when the resolution passed, the US and its allies walked out of the General Assembly. Obviously, we are all very upset that they got a state for themselves, and there was an uproar from Israel and US. You totally have to be there to feel all the excitement building up, because every now and then, there'll be some delegate somewhere shouting "Motion to lay on the table!" which means that they should just stop debate right then and push it to the back of the agenda. And then, there'll be others shouting "Second!" and "Objection!" at the same time, so, it's kind of fun! I was laughing my stomach out. Yes hunnies. I was. The most memorable thing is the securitaries that were made to pass notes from delegation to delegation. The job's never ending, so, you kind of need good stamina to continue walking and walking and passing notes. I have to admit, I did exploit and abuse them! Heh! But then again, it's their job as securitaries (it's combining security and secretary), so it's not really my problem.

And then there's the issue of the food. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that terrific either. The only thing I liked about it was the chocolate eclairs and the choc pudding and the watermelons. The way they plop down the mashed potato on my plate reminds me of bird droppings, only much larger. :/ I mean, hello?! I paid 20 bucks for the food, at least treat my food with respect!

All in all, if you ever got a chance to participate in such events, do participate. It's an eye-opener, and hey, look at it this way, I gained eye candies too!
