The second day of SIMUN was fun (man, do I need to expand my vocabulary!), although I must add that it was rather stressful to defend my merged resolution with South Africa, Iraq, Palestine Authority and Sri Lanka. I mean, our resolution was similar to Somalia's and France's and Syria's merged resolution. The ideas were about the same, and if they can pass theirs, I don't see why we can't pass ours. But hey hey, that French bloke representing USA was seriously insane! He tried to make us crouch by bombarding us with super hard questions, but luckily, we came prepared. Thank god for the Internet!
The Brit guy representing Netherlands was called 'BAMBI', yes, the animal from Walt Disney. He demanded a public apology from the delegate of USA for calling him that. Here's how it goes.
Brit: "The delegate of Netherlands would like to demand a public apology from the delegate of USA for calling this delegate bambi."
French: "This delegate would like to apologise for calling the delegate of Netherlands bambi."
If I was the Brit guy, I would have asked for a more sincere apology. I mean, that French bloke really is the epitome of an imperial brat!
